Vendor independence.
Greybook publishes evidence about commercial products — including negative evidence. That only stays credible if no vendor can buy the verdict.
- No vendor money
- Greybook takes no sponsorship, placement, or advertising from the vendors of the agents it documents.
- Evidence with denominators
- No verdict about a product renders without its sample size, and below five reports the site says “early signal” instead of stating a conclusion. Grade-style labels for whole products are not used — observed, checkable conditions are.
- No failure-rate rankings
- Greybook never publishes “agent X fails N% more than agent Y” from its own reports. People come here when things break; raw failure counts measure attention, not quality.
- Same rules for everyone
- Vendors are welcome to respond on any page about their product, under the same evidence rules as everyone else. They get no edit access and no preview.
- Corrections
- Factual errors are corrected visibly: statuses change through moderation, and edit history is retained.
